A Landmark Human Trafficking Prosecution
DeliverFund's intelligence capabilities helped law enforcement rescue a 15-year-old victim and secure convictions against three human traffickers in a historic triple-jury trial.
A January 2021 rescue operation involving multiple local and state agencies led to a landmark prosecution in 2025.
First-ever triple-jury trial in San Luis Obispo County history
DeliverFund's technology platforms mapped trafficker movements across state lines
DeliverFund provided "exceptional assistance" to the SLO County Sheriff's Office and District Attorney's Bureau of Investigation in three ways:
DeliverFund provided specialized data and actionable intelligence packages to law enforcement helping them to quickly identify the traffickers and locate the victim.
Using their proprietary AI-driven platform, P.A.T.H. (Platform for the Analysis and Targeting of Human Traffickers), analysts mapped the traffickers' movements across state lines from Nevada into California.
By illuminating a clear digital footprint of the illicit activity, DeliverFund assisted Deputy District Attorney Kimberly R. Dittrich in building a robust case that successfully connected all three defendants to the criminal enterprise.

Each defendant had made statements that implicated the others. Under the Sixth Amendment, a defendant has the right to confront and cross-examine witnesses. If Defendant A tells police something that also blames Defendant B, but A does not testify at trial, B cannot cross-examine A.

For the first time in San Luis Obispo County history, the court conducted a joint trial with three separate juries -- one for each defendant.

All three juries heard "bulk evidence" (victim testimony and forensic data) simultaneously.
When evidence was presented that was admissible only against one defendant (such as their own confession), the other two juries were escorted from the courtroom.
This protected each defendant's right to a fair trial while sparing the young survivor from the trauma of testifying in three separate proceedings.
After a two-month trial spanning five weeks of proceedings, all three defendants were found guilty.
36 individual jurors convicted all three defendants.
All three are required to register as sex offenders for their lifetime.
This remarkable young survivor was brave enough to come to court and testify over several days before three juries. Because of her courage these criminals were held accountable.Deputy District Attorney Kimberly R. Dittrich
The triple-jury system serves as a procedural model for future complex multi-defendant cases.
Upheld the highest standards of Constitutional law while achieving full convictions.
Protected the young survivor from repeated traumatic testimony across three separate trials.
Demonstrated how DeliverFund's counterterrorism-grade intelligence methodology can be leveraged by local law enforcement.
